Many advice and support agencies deal with specific issues and problems. This can make sense from a professional perspective. From the point of view of traumatised children and their families, however, the lack of a single, central focus can sometimes feel like being pushed from pillar to post, with clients obliged to repeat the same distressing details time and again. This process can feel demeaning and frustrating. As a result it can be damaging; undermining trust before any kind of progress has begun.
